Trial and subscription
What the trial includes, what happens when it ends, how paying works, and how to cancel
There is one plan, billed monthly; the current price is on owlypost.com. Every account starts with a 14-day trial.
What the trial includes
The full product for 14 days, with trial limits: fewer feeds, one manual digest per day and a smaller AI budget. The limits are listed on Topics and sources. Your first digest arrives within minutes of finishing Owl training, and then weekly at your delivery moment.
Starting the trial
The last step of Owl training asks for a payment method through Stripe Checkout. Nothing is charged during the trial. Card details go to Stripe directly and never reach Owly Post's servers.
When the trial ends
Two days before the end you get an email, Two days left on your trial, with the date. After that the subscription starts automatically. Rather not? Cancel before that date from Settings and you pay nothing at all.
Paying
Payment runs through Stripe. Depending on your country you can pay by card (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), iDEAL, SEPA direct debit or Bancontact. Receipts and VAT invoices come from Stripe.
Payment is web-only
The mobile app has no prices, no checkout and no upgrade button. Subscribing, changing a payment method and cancelling all happen at app.owlypost.com under Settings › Your plan, also for accounts that were created in the app.
Cancel
- Open Settings › Your plan.
- Press Manage subscription & invoices. This opens the Stripe Customer Portal.
- Cancel there.
You keep everything until the end of the period you already paid for; the confirmation email says until when. Changed your mind? Resume subscription on the same card brings it back before that date.
Statuses you may see
The Your plan card names the state of your account and offers the one action that fits it.

| payment failed | A payment didn't go through. Everything keeps working for seven days; Update payment method fixes it |
| canceled | You keep everything until the end of the paid period, and can Resume subscription before then |
| ended | Digests are paused and your data is read-only. Sources and preferences are still here; Reactivate picks up where you left off |
| free | A free plan, granted by hand. Nothing to pay or manage |
After it ends
An ended account is not deleted right away. Your digests, items and ratings are removed after 30 days. Your sources, topics, preference profile and login are kept for a year, so reactivating within that time brings the owl back with everything it learned. After a year the account is erased and you get a goodbye email.
